We are getting started on an exciting new project in Dallas' 75210 zip code. dataCoLAB:75210 uses data to build collaboration between three organizations working in the area, but with different missions. ACT for Justice, Frazier Revitalization, and SPCA of Texas, along with [bc] are working together in this two year effort.
We recently got together to kickoff the project, and have begun to identify the types of information that would help the organizations track change and understand their impact over time. Ultimately, this effort will result in a data dashboard that the organizations can utilize in their work individually and together. The project will culminate in the spring of 2021.
Nonprofits are continually faced with decisions about how to structure services to best meet community needs. Problems that communities face in relation to education, health, and public safety are interconnected and often rooted in systemic inequities — but organizations cannot address these issues in their full complexity by working alone. When nonprofits share data and resources, they can mount concerted efforts to address the most pressing issues in their communities.
Look out for more updates from dataCoLAB:75210 in the months to come! In the meantime, check out photos from our group kickoff meeting below.
