Lizzie MacWillie

Director

Lizzie MacWillie is Director at buildingcommunityWORKSHOP, where she also oversees the Dallas office. 

Lizzie is an urban designer who works across project types. [bc] projects Lizzie has worked on include the community engagement for the City of Dallas’ Cultural Plan; El Sonido del Agua, an arts and advocacy project in the Rio Grande Valley; and design guidelines for Main Street, Millinocket, ME, as part of the Citizens’ Institute on Rural Design.

Prior to joining [bc] in her current role, Lizzie was a part of OMA/AMO in Rotterdam, NL, as an editor of “Elements of Architecture” by Rem Koolhaas. She received a Master of Architecture in Urban Design and a Master of Design Studies in Art, Design and the Public Domain from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. Lizzie is a member of the EDI Committee of the Texas Society of Architects and on the advisory board of Columns Magazine.
