Pei-En Yang

Design Manager

Pei-en Yang is a Design Manager at buildingcommunityWORKSHOP. She supports the organization’s design efforts from the Dallas office.

Originally from Santa Maria, California, Pei-en grew up in a first generation immigrant family, which helped inspire her interest in built environments that support cultural diversity and prevent displacement. Her background working with local museums and community action partnerships have informed her focus on designing spaces that respond to community needs. She believes the practice of architecture is a community based profession and that the design process is enriched when it is founded on inclusivity and collective dialogue. Her commitment to equitable development through community engagement led her to [bc]. 

Pei-en studied at Virginia Tech’s Washington-Alexandria Architecture Consortium and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she received a Bachelor of Architecture.
