[bc] marks each Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with an act of advocacy for remembrance and awareness of people, places, and communities. These acts intend to empower people, foster neighborliness, and inspire civic engagement. We believe that people determine the shape of the places they inhabit and that those people should be made for them, by them, with civility and respect for the public good.
